Purpose
The primary goal of the Community of Edinburgh Research Software Engineers (CERSE) is to invite active and interested Research Software Engineers (RSEs) to bootstrap and participate in a local community of practice.

Code of Conduct
We expect all attendees at this meeting to abide by the Carpentries Code of Conduct. In summary, we encourage the following behaviour:
- Use welcoming and inclusive language
- Be respectful of different viewpoints and experiences
- Gracefully accept constructive criticism
- Focus on what is best for the community
- Show courtesy and respect towards other community members

The First Virtual CERSE meeting is co-hosted with the University of Edinburgh Digital Research Services and will take place via Collaborate Ultra. Attendees will be able to join the session online without having to download software or purchasing a license. Each attendee will receive a ‘Collaborate Session Invite’ via email with a link to join the meeting. Although the meeting will start at 14.30, the link to enter the session will be active 30 minutes in advance from 14.00.
